Woo-hoo, Dr. Healy took my advice! -- well okay, I didn't actually recommend Absalom, Absalom -- but I did recommend Faulkner, and no one else did, so I'm going to take the credit...

In this regard, if you are interested in Faulkner, I think the most interesting thing I've written on this web site is my The Hamlet page -- written in the first incarnation of READIN, before it was a blog. I think I captured pretty well the process of coming to understand the meaning of the story.
